If Cody never had the stipulation that he couldn’t win the AEW role title at all, I think he’d still be part of the company. I think he could’ve won it after hangman, or even MJF. Maybe even if he turned heel because that’s what a lot of fans wanted. There was definitely a place for Cody in AEW, I just think that because he was booked to basically have his own part of the show, the fans got sick of it really quickly.
