Extinction Rebellion Set to Launch New UK Protests

Climate activists, who earlier this year blocked London roads and bridges for a week, launched their latest campaign on Sunday, which they warned will be even bigger.
The group Extinction Rebellion said their "International Rebellion" campaign will kick off on Monday with protests around the world. It claimed the London demonstration will be five times bigger than the one seen in April, which disrupted central parts of the British capital.
On Sunday, members of the group gathered in central London and staged an opening ceremony for their latest campaign.
Extinction Rebellion vowed to maintain the protest for at least two weeks and shut down "the centers of power" until the government steps up action against climate change. (AP)

I sat and watched our local Peak Rail steam train ( attraction ) today as it belched out black stinking choking dense smoke that covered most of our town as it set off from the station puffing and chuffing . Disgusting and unhealthy 😡😡😡🔥🌑

They should target the school run. A million unnecessary daily journeys. But they won't because that is their core user base. Concerned parents going on a protest when they are the exactly the problem they are complaining about.

The real problem is that the police will stop normal people from shifting this lot themselves

Seems to me the British public are unifying in a shared dislike of this slightly pretentious group of inherited wealth hipsters. We're kind of like that in the UK. The best way they can help the movement to fight climate change would be to withdraw.
