Philippines' Marcos says he will 'find ways' to resolve conflicts with China
Показать описание
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is headed to the Philippines for a two-day visit. He will meet President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Both sides said they will focus on building positive relations. Mr Marcos has said he wants to find ways to resolve conflicts between the two countries. Tensions between Manila and Beijing have been rising over disputes in the South China Sea. China claims nearly the entire waterway, but in 2016, an international tribunal in The Hague ruled in favour of the Philippines and dismissed Beijing's claims. Mr Marcos has vowed to uphold the ruling.
