Germans are using American Tank and Americans are using German RPG.

Charles Bronson was a WW2 combat veteran. He was severely wounded during the war. But praise God recovered.

Funny that this was filmed in the summer. In the film, when you see the wide shots, the hills are still green yet this battle took place in the middle of the heaviest winter in 1944.

At the time this film was made German Tanks were not available. And using props to make the M47s look like a Tiger 1 Tank wasn't in the budget. Most of the budget went to pay the All-star cast of the movie. It is what it is. Lol

Check out Charles Bronson’s filmography. He’s been in lots of iconic films.
I can’t say I’ve seen them all, but he sure was one of my favourites.

German tanks or M-26 Americans. A mockery.

Why is everyone arguing about them using the wrong tank and not the fact the first guy ‘died’ 5 seconds after the explosion went off?

Just look at the Soviet extravaganzas.Every German tank is a mock Tiger.Panalov’s 28 apparently used R/C tanks, so we got ‘accurate’ Mk III’s and IV’s (not a bad watch, actually).

Complaining about these being m26’s really makes no sense, what were they gonna do? Time travel and get some pz4’s and panthers? No, they used what they could afford and made good movies for the time. You all are spoiled for choice by video games so you can’t recognize these movies for the art they are. Working with what you have is what you do in Hollywood. Good for them.

I see many commenters have been studying their copies of The Big Book of Tanks for Dummies that Santa brought them.

Maybe this year he can bring them a copy of Making a Movie, Not a Documentary, or What Movies Were Like Before CGI.

They're not using real bullets, grenades, artillery rounds, etc., either.

Waiting for a remake of this brilliant movie, this did depict this huge battle but I would like to see some added references which have come to light, like the murder by the german killing if the of the surrendered black heavy guns unit, the torture was horrendous, & no 1 was prosecuted.
Wars are horrendous & why we still fighting them is a complete mystery because we just keep fighting em again & again.

Why does Charles Bronson have a panzershrek & not a bazooka?

I always thought that the Battle of the Bulge was always about large ladies fighting over the end of the season at a celebratory lunch buffet table at either Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig

I'm not an expert but those panthers and tigers look a lot like some Pattons or Perschings...🤔

Those are not German Panzers and you aim for the tracks not the body with a Bazooka.

People saying that the tank is an M26 instead of a German tiger is also wrong as that is a M47 Patton not a M26 Pershing. More over the directors have to use what they have available and couldn't find any actual Tiger tanks plus they don't have funds to make the M47 look like Tiger tanks.
