Pro Tools 11 Tutorial | Busses, Auxes, Sends And Inserts

Hi! I'm a voice-over artist, and I use Pro Tools 11.3.1. I have just begun recording an audiobook for an author through ACX, and I would love to know more about how I should set up my audiobook template. One big question I have is, do I need to worry about busses if I'm just recording straight audio tracks of myself? If I don't need them, how can I inactivate all busses? They cause me trouble sometimes. Also, it's my understanding that all of my files should be recorded in mono, not stereo. How can I set my Pro Tools template properly to be sure my I/O is set up correctly? I followed a tutorial from over 2 yrs ago, but I fear they had me put too many unnecessary things into my template. Today I rcvd a PT error msg that it "could not complete the bounce to disk command because PT ran out of CPU power." Yikes! Pls let me know if I can hire you for a Pro Tools 11 session that will set me up properly for audiobook recordings. Thx!
