2:30 for clarity, that's a straddle grip. The difference between this and a mechanics grip (or dealers grip) is the position of the pinkie. For a mechanics grip, it's positioned on the right long edge.

Hardest part though is the scissor cut. I can do a scissor but in this one that bottom deck is very hard to control. I know, I know, it takes practice but the thumb spin on the one card and is very easy in comparison to the “uncontrolled “ scissor cut.
