Diving Into Japan's Ancient Underwater Civilization | Underworld | Earth Stories

The end of the great Ice Age shaped the world we live in today. As masses of water poured into the ocean when the ice caps melted, the sea level rose over 400 feet, swallowing with it some of the most prized coastal lands. All traces of people who lived on this land is now stuck in time below the sea. Starting on the Ryukyu chain of islands off the southern coast of Japan, on a tiny island called Yonaguni , new evidence at the bottom of the sea has emerged, and could overturn everything archaeologists believe about the origins of civilization.

I love Graham he is asking the questions that need to be asked, its amazing how many of his theories have been proven right, I imagine in 10 years alot of his theories will be fact. All because he was not afraid to ask questions and seek answers

Graham shows so much respect whilst talking to other professionals who have different opinions. If only we could all be like that ❤

Since the huge monument had been above water why has no one stated it might have been a quarry ?

What about the site being a quarry for a building somewhere else ? :O)

Looks more to me like an ancient quarry like el-Sawayta near Samulat and Minya in Egypt.

Yonaguni is located 50 miles from Taiwan and about a thousand miles from the main Japanese islands. And it was pointed out that Taiwan was a part of the Chinese mainland during the ice age. So whoever built the Yonaguni monument was probably more closely related to whatever culture existed at that time in southern China. Perhaps they should investigate the cultural history and practices of these people instead of the Japanese.

This is Graham Hancock narrating and telling his story yet there is no mention of him in the description or title. Unethical

My dad worked in the oil industry in Iran back in the 70ies.
He told me as a child:
If you have a great idea never speak to a German (engineer) about it. They will tell you at least 5 reasons why your idea is shit.
Always speak with an American (engineer) because they will tell you at least 5 things you need to do, to realize your idea!
I live in Germany now and I miss my dad every day!

Graham, please visit an island between Cebu and Leyte there you can find similar rock formations. I saw it when snorkeling around the island in the 1990's.

How can this other guy have a straight face when he says this is all natural and not man made when it’s clearly hand carved

In at second viewer. Hopefully high enough to get an answer, how do we determine if this is manmade or natural? I have seen a lot expression of natural processes, not man made.

I wonder if Graham knew about Ishi No Hoden at the time of this documentary. Would have been great to see his thoughts, on Japan's floating rock.
If the scientific industry could see how Graham Hancock treats with qualified professionals they would see he should be treated in exactly the same manner. Shame it is full of shills, with no understanding of how an educated person should act, in today's World!
He is a real asset to our global community, regardless what anyone says.

What tools did the Ancients use to make these structures : cyclopean technology? Fallen Angel technology? pre-adamic technology? - definitely not by copper chisels

The guy who dove and has seen this stuff close up yet still thinks it's not man made is delusional. He only sees what he wants to see instead of the truth.

Snide. I'd rather go to Prague, too. But what made you think this could possibly be Prager?
