It's not even just Maelor. So much that should have been shown was cut, and things that should have been cut were shown. Like instead of seeing Daemon lick his mother's dragon pit, what if we got a scene from the books where Jace and Cregan make a pact of brotherhood. Or instead of Rhaenyra swapping spit with her hubbies Ex we get a scene like when Corlys asks her to legitimized his sons the moment he found out about them. Y'know shit actually shown in the books!?
