The #1 Sign Of A Herniated Disc Is THIS!

What does it feel like to have a herniated disc?

You should think of a herniated disc when the main pain is running down the back and leg and is also causing numbness or weakness in part of the leg. Pat’s history of back pain, leg pain, numbness and weakness are typical of what people feel when they have a herniated disc. The details depend on what the disc. If the disc causes compression of a nerve root, then you may feel pain, weakness, or numbness in the part of your body served by that nerve root.

Pat described a “sharp” pain going down his left leg. This is usually due to inflammation your body generates to try and heal the herniated disc. He also noted numbness in the left leg. Pat's disc was so large that it affected more than one nerve root; he had numbness in the groin, thigh, and calf.

I'm currently one week in with dealing with what may be a herniated or bulging disc but it is so hard to tell, it might be a torn muscle, I have no radiating sciatica, no tingles, no knife-like stabbing but an ever present aching dull pain with weakness - can't bend forwards, can't move in bed without pain spiking, mornings are the worst. I've been icing it and applying heat, there's so many conflicting information but if this doesn't get better I'm in to see my PCP. Thanks for the vids though, out of all I have seen these have been the most helpful.

Been dealing with Sciatica for over 10 months that’s causing unimaginable pain due to leg cramps and muscle spasms. Those leg muscles a big and powerful muscles and they pack a punch. Cannot sit or lie down; been relegated to standing up or standing on my knees to work, eat, and watch television. 18 Aleve pain pills per day barely made a difference, and no muscle relaxant helped. I’ve never given birth, but cannot imagine pain worse than Sciatica except burning in a fire. After a month of traction, electro-stimulation, and targeted exercises the pain is finally subsiding. Good to learn about this horrible condition.

My L5/S1 goes out, not sciatic but mri proves they push into spinal canal. Never knew pain could ever exist like this and I've been through plenty if injuries.

Got herniated disc at feb 2022 and it took 3 months to cure . But suddenly got the pain back in dec 2022. We can’t live normal life after getting herniated disc? Is there any suggestions to maintain the back healthy?

What about degenerative disc! I was diagnosed with moderate to severe stenosis!! Does this warrant surgery?

Hi I am 45 and i went on one of those kids obstacle courses on the water, i fell between 2 tubes that you were supposed to jump from one to the other, and my face and legs were held in place slightly as i fell through the tubes, as my back and body bent backwards so that it can fall down in the water. I felt a hot pain like it was 200F degrees. I thought i broke my back, but i was able to move my feet, i wasn't paralyzed! and i was able to walk. The first 3 days were painful but i could still walk, most of the pain went away, but now 3 weeks in I still feel stiff, and pain. I started taking ibuprofen and it helps a lot, if i don't take it, the lower back feels very tight and limits my mobility in terms of how far i can move in all directions. I will get it checked out, but just curious what do you think it is? is it muscle sprain? strain ? a disk problem? I can jug for a few min and i don't feel any sharp pain from my back, also if i bend forward i feel pressure on my lower back muscles like they are tight? pressure/tension/pain that limits my mobility. however if i bend backswords i feel a lot more muscle pain.

Im a young rugby player. Had practice and left side lower back pain started. No leg pain… yet but definitely a dull pain right above the left butt cheek. Suggestions? Laying flat on my back seems to lessen pain.

I'm recovering from back issue. Swelling not an issue at this point but soreness and stiffness is still present especially in the morning but I do stretching to help get going in the morning. I work out pain-free but sitting is uncomfortable and standing causes pain to slowly radiate through right hip and intensifies the longer I stand. Laying down on the floor and stretching helps this. I'm still cautious about bending over forward and not sure if this is ok to attempt. Any suggestions?

I have a hernitaded diac on L5. I start my spine decompressions sessions and cold laser next tuesday. Chiropractor said that in 5 weeks I will be able to go back to training. What do you think is that will help?

My piriformis is weak and I usually see a chiro for that which works, but sometimes I have glute and hip soreness regardless of how I sit or lay down, and tailbone pain. I s this just wicked inflammation or a disc issue? I don't have any numbness or shooting pains, yet the area or facet region around L4 and L5 are tender to the touch and bothersome when laying in bed or sitting in a car. Any ideas or is it just something that takes time to heal and settle down. I've had this before, but don't recall how long it lasted, etc. Thanks

I don’t know what I have, but for the last few months, I feel like my glute gets super tight and it hurts unless I stretch and hear a click/pop noise in my lower back. The pain immediately goes away.

I stretch by slowly thrusting once towards the air, or I walk for a few seconds, or I squat down. All of them eventually lead to a click in my lower back.

The stiffness and pain when it does happen renders motion useless, and I don’t want it to become chronic. It’s just sporadic, week to week.

It went away recently by dead hanging, but I notice my rear hip and lower back are sore because of the stretching.

When I dead hang and I let my muscles relax, my lower back feels like it stretches and it hurts.

I just cracked my back and my head started to spin a bit (my head spins very frequently so I don't know if it's because I cracked my back), should I be worried about a slipped disc or am I just overthinking?
