Steam saunas can't get that hot because you'll burn. I feel the same in a 140 degree's stream room as I do in a 180+ dry sauna after 15-20 min... I wish they could break down the benefits of each type of sauna since they differ so much in temperature

After a church health seminar my mom had me take a shower with hot water, the most my body could take and then have bucket of cold water with ice and use that at the end as soon as I finish my hot shower, then avoid any air current for abiut an hour. All through my childhood I never suffer flu or cold all year long. I stopped doing it as an adult and I started getting flu and colds during the winter, I was shocked.

dude, you increase it during the first 4-5 times. After that you get used to saunas and you need to increase the heat to have the same HGH boost. Eventually you won't have any boost

I love heat. It energizes and relaxes as well. You can use it for energy like a hurricane or get it so hot to relax ...a natural high

People get too caught up on temperatures and durations. The research has established a protocol and built evidence based on it. It is not extensive enough to say any deviation from that protocol is ineffective. And intuitively it makes sense, your core body temperature determines what is physiologically stressful, not the environment. So expose yourself to heat, stay as long as it takes to feel the stress, and then stay in for a while longer within reason.

There may be more benefit to using a more moderate temperature so you can tolerate the stressed state longer, or using intervals of cooling off to increase duration of heat stress, but that’s not really established.
