14 Things You Didn't Know About Anti Hero Skateboards

Antihero was started by Julien Stranger after riding for Real skateboards underneath Deluxe, run by Jim T. Legend holds that Jake Phelps and Stranger talked about the skateboard industry, and saw a need for a brand that spiced things up a bit. Deluxe owns Antihero Skateboards.

Together they've released videos such as Cash Money Vagrant, Tent City, Destination Unknown, and more.

Todd Francis drew the original classic Eagle Graphic, as well as the Pigeon. You can see these pieces, and more, by grabbing his book "Look Away" which we reference in this video.

Also You may have noticed Evan Smith's part for Grimple Stix: a small practical joke brand started by Antihero recently.

Antihero forever. One of the last vestiges of the old guard of skating.

Also, all hail Cardiel.

Crazy about that Burnquist bit. Never knew he got his start at antihero. And I see why they split when he got commercial success, but considering how much of a household name he became after THPS, I wonder if antihero kicked themselves after that. Great vid tho as always my shred brothas.

Possibly one of the best teams ever. Definitely one of the last teams holding onto the true essence of skateboards

Big shout out for this amazing vid! I grew up idolizing Stranger and have always held him in the same regard as Gonz, Natas & Dressen for pushing the boundaries of street skating. Also a huge fan of fellow Canadian Joe Buffalo...the artwork on his pro model is absolutely epic! F the RCMP!!!!

Anti-Hero is rad, I remember 3 deck brands that had my favorite riders back in the Mid 2000s Anti-Hero, Pig Wood (remember when Pig made decks and had a killer team???) And Black Label!

Love this company and everything they stand for, but the style of skating their team riders are known for was never for me, somewhat like Zero. Incredible guys, but I have always been into more technical stuff. So I go with Brian Anderson, met him a couple of times in Person. Awesome skating, awesome dude!
