Child's Play creator Don Mancini brings a real-life Chucky doll with him to talk about the newest sequel, Curse of Chucky.

With the 25th anniversary of Child's Play upon us, and the release of the sixth film of the franchise in a big Chucky: The Complete Collection Blu-ray box set, we thought it was the perfect time to sit Don Mancini down for a series of exclusive, extended interviews about each film in the franchise, and answer all our biggest questions about Chucky. We're calling it The Chucky Files.

Join The B-Movies Podcast host William "Bibbs" Bibbiani as he interrogates Don Mancini about every film in the Child's Play series, from Child's Play to Curse of Chucky, in our six-episode mini-series.

I love Chucky on a Train idea! Gore, Hitchcock look-a-like, surprising cammeos and the darker atmosphere from CURSE. This is the perfect sequel to me

Don...is so ripped here. He's just on the couch and his arms are crazy out there.

Love you Don.

I'm glad that CURSE of CHUCKY is more a standalone sequel rather than the usual (Hollywood) remake or "re-imagining" of the original film. Hope to see more of the series in the near future with ideas taken from the original script(s). Thanks for this interview!

Child's Play was released when I was but 2 years old, and it has been a fun franchise to grow up with whether being scared back then or not. My ABSOLUTE favorite was Child's Play 2. To me there has never been a greater installment, but I certainly loved this film! Curse was everything that was needing to breathe new life into the franchise and I am excited to see what Cult brings.

You can see endless references in Macini's movies. In Curse there are many too: Mario Bava (the house, shadows, etc.), Dario Argento (lights, colors and score), De Palma, Grauman's Lady in the Cage (the elevator as a prison) and Waters too (the dinner scene).

No, we need answers on what happened to Detective Norris, Andy's mother, Kristen De Silva, and Tyler. Also, what happens to Andy after Child's Play 3.

I think they should do a life story of Charles Lee ray what made him a serial killer what his child hood was like

Curse looks like the best in the series yet.

I can't believe Don Mancini is 50 years old.

It was basically explained in bride of chucky. When tiffany got chuckys chopped up body from the police bag that was after child's play 3 when he was chopped up at the end. Tiffany basically sewed his body back together and said the chant to bring him back to life that's where the scars came from.

Childs play has always been my favorite scary movie since I saw it when I was 8, even to this day. I think curse of chucky was a good return to the scary side but I was never too sure of the scars on his face in the last couple movies or the comedy switch but still enjoyed them all. Curse of chucky tied up ends which was enjoyable but I think it would be worth the wait of the legal situation with mgm and universal because a reboot to childs play would be great to reintroduce a great character to a new generation. I always wanted to know more about charles lee ray's past in the voodoo culture. I think a beginning scene much like the first could show a deeper aspect of charles before chucky even if only a 3 minute long prelude before he's shot in the toy store just to show how bad of a man he is to make more sense of why he has such rage even if its just because he's an insane serial killer. I thought after the first childs play the movies lost their speed of horror and made chucky less creepy. I know me and my friends would love a reboot but respect the creators choices and how everything ends up, just wanted to share my opinion.
