"Stairway to Heaven" is a song by the English rock band Led Zeppelin. It was composed by guitarist Jimmy Page and vocalist Robert Plant for the band's fourth unnamed studio album, (see Led Zeppelin IV (1971)). The song was voted #3 in 2000 by VH1 on their list of the 100 Greatest Rock Songs.[1] It was the most requested song on FM radio stations in the United States in the 1970s, despite never having been released as a single there.[2] In November 2007, through download sales promoting Led Zeppelin's Mothership release, "Stairway to Heaven" hit #37 on the UK Singles Chart.[3]

This is widely considered THE quintessential "Classic Rock" song. There's a reason Zeppelin is in the pantheon of Rock and Roll. Great reaction. It was so much fun watching you all hear this for the first time.

The studio version has subtle nuances that the live version just doesn't have.
This is as close to perfection as you can get.

I love that the younger generations are appreciating the timeless rock from the past.

Let's not forget John Paul Jones on the keyboards that did all the bass and flute. He a genius on keyboard and bass that doesn't get the recognition JP, RP and Bonham get.

The song itself is a stairway. These guys were like 22 to 25 yrs old when they created this. Insane.

It was a joy to watch you two react to one of the greatest rock ‘n roll songs of all time. I loved how into it you got, and how much you were really digging it. Always great to see younger generations appreciating this music I grew up with and even better, to see folks from a different culture react. Love this, guys.

For a multitude of reasons...all of them great...this is arguably the most renowned and recognizable rock song ever recorded. It encapsulates everything that made Zeppeling the best band in history. Incredible vocals...outstanding drumming...great bass lines...timeless lyrics...and Page work that arguably makes him the greatest guitarist in history.

I grew up with this music. I was in my teens when this came out. I can't tell you how many times I listened to it. Still not boring. I love to see how you youngsters react to this genre of music. Makes me happy that you appreciate it.
