While I do agree, it sometimes makes me uncomfortable when people ask this question, most of the time I don't think they are trying to be mean or something. They might just wanna know so they can adress you the right way.

Yeah as a closeted trans person who educates themselves I was trying to teach some people what's okay and what isn't this lady which I didn't like went up to me and just straight up asked if I was trans (yes I did lie) personally I'm somewhat annoyed since when I was talking about it she gave me that look like wtf are you talking about type of look

how would a small child know the concept of a trans person? Stop being annoyed at that, they are *children*

It shouldn't make you feel uncomfortable. Its just a question because theres lots of genders these days. Since you're a trans guy or woman, answer based on what you claim you are. Simple. I think the reason you get uncomfortable is deep down in your heart, you know you're not a biological man.
