Learn how to use the Sony XLR-H1 XLR Audio Handle. I describe how to set the XLR-H1 audio handle for use with both xlr mics and 3.5mm mics on the FX3 and FX30. Look out for another video coming soon where I'll show how to set up the audio handle to record 4 channel audio.

Hey Paul. I really enjoy your videos. Very thoughtfully constructed and easy to follow. I especially liked your suggestion about how to use the second channel as a safety by choosing either auto gain or a lower level. Brilliant! I would not have thought of that on my own. I also like the tip about linking the channels on a stereo mic to simplify level adjustments. So helpful! Watching your videos is certainly time well spent! Kudos to you!

This is awesome... thank you, Paul. I was going to sell my audio handle (got it with the camera) but decided I'd repurpose my MKH416 and after trying it out--there's no going back. Ended up putting it on a small tripod, angled up at my mouth, right in front of me off camera. Super easy to move around or put on a table as opposed to overhead. Sounds amazing. I found that keeping it on Ch1/Auto worked best for me, with the safety Ch2 slightly lower on manual. Night and day difference between this and my DJI Mic 2 :)
