The latest tropical update as of Saturday morning: The Atlantic Basin is still very much active with two named storms swirling over the open ocean. None are an immediate threat to land at this time. Subtropical Storm Teresa formed yesterday afternoon north of Bermuda and is poorly organized. It is expected to weaken into a remnant low later today.

Hurricane Sam continues to intensify over the central Atlantic and the projected forecast has it becoming a major hurricane later this afternoon. No surprise as conditions are favorable for rapid intensification in the next 24 hours. Sam is projected to become a category 4 hurricane early Sunday morning and is expected to stay away from land. Bermuda though would still have to watch it long-term.

If it’s expected to become a major hurricane tomorrow morning how come it’s saying “Saturday 1:00 PM 125 mph winds”?…..I see the time say 4:00 AM, I don’t know if it was that early that you were just considering today tomorrow.🤷🏾‍♂️
