If you ever watch Chris kyle interviews the one thing that stands out is that while yes he wrote a book and did public speaking he was clearly uncomfortable when people treated him like a hero or gave him direct attention for his deeds. This is something they got very right in this movie

Chris Kyle and James from hurt locker are pretty damn similar here. There are more places to find purpose and utility than you think if you look around! Helps if a smart guy like this therapist shows you and lifts the curtain over your eyes.
