Guessing Who ALBEDO Is From The Music Alone...

Taking the concept of my League of Legends Series "guessing who x is from the music alone" and bringing it over to these character demos in Genshin. No, I do not know these characters ahead of time. No, I don't have time to research them before and then pretend I didn't read about their lore or anything. :D. I hope you enjoy!

My favorite part is that Marco's confusion hit the nail on the head because Albedo is such a playful, but mysterious person in the lore of the story.

If you wanna know why Albedo's demo sounds so unique compared to most others, I'd recommend checking out the two Albedo-centric events, "The Chalk Prince And The Dragon" and especially "Shadows Amidst Snowstorms". Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there will be reruns of these events anytime soon if ever, but they have lots of Albedo lore -- and yep, the reason for the EDM too :D

I think one way to describe Albedos' theme is it's very synthetic

Mostly on point, but I honestly can't blame you for being off when Albedo is probably the greatest enigma of all of Genshin's Playable Characters. What's really interesting to me is how old material, even content like this trailer, can take on new meaning as more content comes out. There are multiple things in this trailer that you absolutely could not realize the significance of without context established far later. This trailer has some depth to it that can't be unearthed (no pun intended) quite yet, I think.

You were pretty spot on with your analysis! Albedo is the Chief Alchemist for the Knights of Favonius and is called a genius by many due to his great alchemical achievements. In his character details, it even says that his knowledge of alchemy is greater than the Sumeru Akademiya's. Alchemy is Genshin's form of science. One of his students, Sucrose, says she's a bioalchemist and what we get about her studies relates heavily to biochemistry, and some of the things in Albedo's lore also makes alchemy sound more like science.

Albedo continually makes comments that are kinda sarcastic and snarky, but he's just being blunt due to him being a bit of a social recluse. He spends a lot of his time on Dragonspine (one of the teleports is actually near his lab), hence why it is called Contemplation in Snow. His banner is also usually run during the winter event as it usually is a Dragonspine event.

His Character Demo is the only one I've listened to that is EDM heavy and there's only one other that comes even close, which makes sense because of lore reasons. I can't say much else about Albedo without doing major spoilers for his character's story, even though most of it was revealed in the two Dragonspine events, but yeah!

There's a deep relation between Albedo and the technological/artificial, both in his work but in his character and origins too. Unfortunately, most of it was told during timed events that are now gone.
I like to think that the composer was specifically asked to make a song in that style for that reason, even though at the time of the trailer and even for a while after that story hadn't be told yet.

My first time seeing you a bit stumped on figuring out the character. Albedo Is probably one of the most complex characters in the story and probably one of my favorites! Glad to see you finally go through the character demo music, they're always something I look forward to whenever a new character is announced and it's always cool to see after learning about the character how much their demo music fits their personalities and playstyle.

Definitely one of the hardest characters to get entirely via just music and probably intentionally too, meanwhile you have Klee's leitmotif at the end and you can easily guess her character from just it

and yes, that little melody at the end of his theme is Klee's theme. Klee and Albedo are siblings, though not related by blood, and he's also one of her primary caretakers.

the flower thing he sprouted is his skill that's called the "solar isotoma." and his whole mission is "finding the truth of this world" through alchemy, so that's what the contemplation can refer to... along with other things i won't spoil for you.

I rolled for Albedo because of how cool and deep his lore goes. An Alchemist with a mysterious background whose story is far from over, despite already having a story quest and two events centered around him.

His trailer alone has gotten me to adore Albedo and I'm glad I did he's rich in both lore and personality. He's elegant.

Analysing Albedo is similar to opening a pandora box ... he is one of the Genshin characters whose background is almost totally shrouded in mystery. Once we go deeper into his lore, then we could understand why they chose EDM (modern) music for him, why he teams up with Klee, etc.
