The reason why spiritual practices are so important and necessary on journey back to love is because things like Quran, fasting allows us to have access to a light, Quran is the light, it came from purified spiritual sources. When we read the Quran, when we recite the Quran, when we hear the Quran, it is allowing us to plug in to that light and stillness, soft place in us and keep it and what comes with it is a healing, all that wrong in us is transformed and healing bit by bit. This light and softness in us has ability to heal those horrors, torments which we gathered, accumulated within.
