S400 is a very different technology and India can perhaps use it to leap frog by improving upon the technology. But Russia has not been of great help or cooperation in the matter of Bose' s death or the death of Shastri, unless they were favouring and protecting the slavish parivar.. US is also testing if India under Modi will still be a slave of any country like the earlier led congress govts.

Sorry 'Professor' Nalapad.. I am astonished to see a prominent Indian not appreciating the concept of honor of word.. Indians, sadly believe that India can remain on fence, and get by without taking sides, and infact end up losing face, they take any carrot that is offered from time to time by the bully.. It is time India understood its position and the government has taken the right decision to buy S-400, when they signed the deal.. even if President Putin forced it upon India..It is the right decision.. It does not matter even it is not the best choice vis-a- vis American relations.. Likewise India should honor its commitment with any nation it signed a deal with..even it is America. I am personally sick of India trying to be good to everyone at the cost of its own honor.. Its time India acted honorably, and it will earn international respect..and perhaps even seat in UNSC. No more sitting on fence and eating free carrots please..

Since when the USA became our friend? It always tries to do harm, like the Nuclear treaty, IMF Loan and Privatization, selling weapons without technology transfer, spoil Chabahar investments and access to Afghanistan, etc.
Clinton tried his best to destroy Indo-Russian relationship and India's space and missile development program. Nixon attacked India but could not do anything because of the Soviet Union. Bush senior forced India to accept IMF loan and the resultant privatization which so far has the result that $2600 billion went out of India to various foreign banks. when the IMF gave only $2.5 billion in 1992. Because of Bush Junior, Pakistan is stronger than India in nuclear weapons as it was not forced to sign 123 treaty. Bush also destroyed Iraq and $4 billion investment of India. I can go on like these. One should never trust the USA.
