Use insurance agency management software to search for related opportunities, or products you could potentially up-sell to current customers.
Understand your customer's needs. A business customer might need personal insurance, or a homeowner might also have a small business.
Become a trusted source for their insurance needs by being reliable and knowledgeable. This actually ties into the fifth tip, which is making sure that your customers know about all the different products you sell.
And finally, understand that cross-selling not only benefits you, but it benefits the customer as well. If you can be a one-stop shop for all insurance services, they can save money and time.
Research shows it costs six times as much to get a new customer as it does to sell to an existing one. So stop spinning your wheels and start selling more effectively.
