Samsung Galaxy J7 Review - Worth It?

My Review of Samsung's new online exclusive Galaxy J7.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is powered by the 64bit capable Exynos 7580 chipset that houses 8 Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 Ghz each coupled with Mali T720 MP2 GPU and 1.5 GB RAM.

There's 16GB of internal storage available and it also has a micro sd slot for memory expansion.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 houses a 13MP Rear Camera capable of capturing 1080p video and a 5MP front facing camera for selfies.

There's also a front facing flash included.

It sports a 5.5" 720P super amoled hd display with a 3000 mAh user replaceable battery...

The Galaxy J7 currently runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung's custom Touchwiz UI on top.

Unpopular opinion : this phone is a legend .
I had it for 4 years now I lost it, the battery is a beast, camera is good, easy use, amazing display, good storage capacity, no heating, ... It was just good and once u start using it you will fall in love such a good budget phone

I owned this phone (it was recently stolen, so I don't have it anymore), and I liked it very much. Reviewers will often end their review of the J7 by saying that this or that competitor offers more "bang for your buck", meaning that with a phone like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 you get higher specs for the same price. But, as I've learned, specs don't mean much. More important is how the phone is engineered. Samsung put together a near perfect combination of screen, battery, camera, processor, and software in the Galaxy J7. The Redmi Note 3 might have a higher definition screen, but I find the super amoled screen on the J7 to be brighter and more vivid and much more pleasing to the eye. Plus, by keeping a 720P display on the J7, you get amazing battery life.

Similarly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has more RAM than the Galaxy 7. But having twice as much RAM does not mean the phone is twice as fast or twice as powerful. It depends on how efficiently that RAM is utilized by the phone's software and hardware, and the J7 does an excellent job. It is so well optimized, that the J7 runs as fast or faster than phones that have double the RAM.

Basically, everything on the J7 just works, and it works well. It's a solid phone that does everything well. The "bang for your buck" cameras look good on paper, but generally aren't as reliable as these offerings from Samsung.

I bought my J7 in December 2017. I have dropped it and endless amount of times and it still works today in April 2022. I have it encased in an Otterbox. Also, I do a full factory reset from time to time once it starts getting noticeably slow.

Great stuff! This is what I like about your review, you help the buyer decide by giving your 'pick' or 'kick' to the phone and suggest alternatives too. That's really useful, believe me. A friend of mine needed a phone and I sent him your video URL and he said he'll be buying it soon... :)

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is the best that I have found so far, ranging from iOS to Android in my searches, the J7 has the most memory capacity, and octa-core is very fast, dual SIM means two lines, capable of extra memory card, a great phone, I recommend it to everyone
