Samsung just updated one of its best midrangers...but last year's version is nothing to sneeze at. Is it really worth the bump in price?

That phone is my daily driver. (I'm using it right now to write this comment)
It's a great phone. The storage is the only problem. Google Chrome keeps using up storage, even though I'm not even using my phone. The app filled up half my device storage, and I bought a 32 GB Micro SD card, and moved everything I could. Even after that, my storage is still completely full. If you're gonna buy this phone, buy some external storage ASAP.

This is actually pretty feature rich for a mid-range phone. I've been using a J5 (2016) for a few weeks now after my G6 unfortunately and inexplicably died by 'water damage', and it's actually a lot better than I expected it to, as soon as I got rid of the factory rom that is. Mid-range phones are really solid when you get rid of their factory rom (which is usually bloated to the point where the non-flagship SOCs can barely keep up).
