I have had a few black cats in my life. They are some of the best companions. The last one was Bellatrix. We called her Bella. She was the most empathic cat ever. She knew you were sick or under the weather before you did. She kept leading me to my daughter's room once and my daughter was sleeping. A little restless, but still asleep. When she woke up, she was complaining of a stomach ache that wouldn't go away and started hurting when she stood up straight or walked. Long story short, she was in the beginning stages of appendicitis. We took her to the hospital and I was right. It was her appendix. when we brought her home after the surgery, Bella didn't leave her side for the entire recovery. You'll never convince me that black cats are anything short of awesome!
