The (imo highly underrated) movie "The Great Wall" with Matt Damon, Willem Dafoe and Pedro Pascal, it was all about the Taotie.

This was ok, but there are some problems that I think are based due to common misconceptions. To give an example: Eastern dragons are not solely associated with water. China does have fire-breathing dragons, and a serpentine shape can also be found among European dragons.

The Xingtian was really intriguing to me because of its similarity to a Babylonian monster called the Blemmyae. Giant, headless humanoids with their faces on their torsos. Interesting that such a specific monster appears in two very different places!

With ao the spirit turtle whennthe goddess used stones to build a new pillar, inwonder if thats what they said rainbows were. Cus thats what it sounded like to me. Which would be pretty cool
