I've heard of at least half of the creatures on this list, but whether we've heard of them or not they still all serve the same purpose to exist in mythology and to terrorize humans when they are revealed.

Wasn't mentioned in the video, but if people are wondering "what's so scary about the Manananggal?", the scary thing about it is that it could be anyone -- the prettiest girl in your class, the next door neighbor, the kind old lady down the street -- and you won't know it. The manananggal is known to be impossible to distinguish when in human form. Also, in folktales and movies, whole towns are seen capturing and burning alive dozens of innocent women accused of being a manananggal, teaching us that we humans can become just as monstrous as the monster we're trying to hunt down.

Rebecca’s pronunciation of *manananggal* is actually very good :O I dont hear many accents from the western hemisphere pronounce the A’s correctly, or at least as well as she did

The Navajo Skinwalker is also one worth mentioning. It's a sort of witch/demon that takes the shape of animals or even people, stalks its victims in the night, and can impersonate sounds and voices nearly perfectly.

No one's ever heard of the Chupacabra? Really, WatchMojo? It's pretty well-known.

I didn't expect the chupacabra to be such a recent mythical creature.

They are some mythical creatures here in the Philippines that were too scary enough (they were even shown in horror movies like the Shake, Rattle and Roll series) like The Tiyanak(a cursed demonic baby who had died and never baptised), to the witch doctor or albularyo, instead of healing or driving away evil spirits, they put curse on whoever done bad or hurt them)Bakunawa, a mythical sea serpent, it is believed that causes earthquakes, eclipses and storms.

WatchMojo: "Creatures You've Never Heard Of"
Also WathMojo: "#3: Chupacabra"
Me: "Who the heck has never heard of the Chupacabra?"

This was a solid list. I would add the Berbalang a creature from the Philippines that devours corpses.

I always picture Chupacabras being these humanoid velociraptors with a line of spikes running down their backs.

As a South African I've never heard of Grootslang, i would've thought the Tokolosh would've made the list which is more well known all across South Africa with certain people even being able to tame or control the beast.

Fun fact - Aswang, the most well known mythological creature in the PH is still believed to exist till this day especially on the provinces. I myself believe they are real cause i have experienced it that I can still recall 100% what exactly happened.
