I think you got it wrong. The new GTs have 480 HP and with the active exhaust they have 486

I remember buying my base model 5.0 6-speed new in 2019, and it was $33k after a little incentives. Big difference for nearly the same seats, engine, and gearbox

Call me old school but I like the analog gauges much better. Great looking vehicle though. Awesome purchase!

The gauge cluster setup looks like they literally just stuck a screen on the dashboard and called it a day. They could've tried to make it look integrated at least

I question the reliability of the dual screens. They should of kept the real gauges and buttons. But it is a beautiful car

I HATE the dash in the new Mustangs. Two iPad sat on a dash. No style or attempt to make it look like anything else. Looks cheap

Brand new 20 miles won't boot up 😅 thank you for leaving that there

Perfect timing - I have a 2018 GT Premium with PP1, 6 speed, Active Valve Exhaust and Magna Ride. A little over 60, 000 miles. Stone cold love the car. I am thinking about, at some point getting an S650. My next car would be optioned similar. 6 speed is a must - can’t possibly consider the distaff transmission! Big no go is the iPad dash 🤢. Think I’ll be driving the 2018 for a couple more years. Happy motoring 🤠

Congratulations. My first car was a fox body Mustang. I loved it. Call me crazy, but I preferred the Mustang you traded in. I would like to see Ford make a retro 1970 Mustang Mach 1. Too cool.

Nice upgrade! I used to have a 2014 5.0, had it for 5 years. Awesome car! Sold it to get a ZL1, and as much as I loved it, decided to sell it and get the last 2022 GT500 in the same Atlas Blue as your new 5.0! That color looks gorgeous in the sun! Congrats on the new car! Looking forward to lots of videos with it!

Cool new car. Congrats! Just hope that the lengthy delay for the screen to boot up is not a precursor of bad things to come. Personally, I prefer the old school interior of your old 2014 GT.

Everyone saying they should have got the manual should remember that the GT comes with the MT82, which is known to be a poor manual transmission. Ford needs to get rid of it and only use Tremec.

I ordered the exact same configuration for my new mustang last month, only added night pony for bigger wheels and painted roof with different headlights and black badges. Have some discounts b/c of company I work for but not as good as a deal as you guys got. Some things about this configuration I would like people to know. (Also grabber blue not the dark blue)

301A package which is 2k gives you the partial leather (vinyl) seats with driver electric and adds lumbar as well as 9 speaker audio (adds sub and a puller speakers). Gives you the heated seats and the duel zone climate control. I originally skipped this, but changed order to include because they are all nice to haves and can’t add cheap later.

Active exhaust is worth every penny, 1.2k and bumps 480 hp to 486 hp. Looked on ford performance to add afterwards is more like 3k if you could even get the screen to show the buttons and features like starting in quiet mode.

10-speed auto, I drove this and it’s pretty good. Marginally better mpg. But really just works for my commute better, would love the stick just can’t justify it as my only car that the girl drives when needed.

As for the brakes, the upgraded 6 piston brembos are huge and I do want them. But EcoBoost to GT gives you an upgrade of brakes (the baby brembos) as well as wider tires.

I think this configuration is a great build on top of configuration, excited to see what y’all do!

TFL stating this might be the last V8 they (being an automotive review site constantly buying new vehicle) ever buy made this hit a bit harder then the individual announcements of engine discontinuations; I always kept saying to myself “Oh, I guess I’m switching to the other manufacturer for a big N\A ICE” but this makes me realize there may not be any other manufacturers pretty soon 😢

I wonder how pleasant this car is had they maintained the s550 dashboard and place the " tablet " at the middle to retain the balance in look. Maintain the sporty toggle switches as well☺️.

There's nothing cheap about the price of the new Mustang. No more young people driving off the lot with a new GT and crowd killing at C&C.

The '24 GT has 480 HP std, and 486 with active exhaust. 2018 to '21 had 460-horse. 2022-'23 had 450-horse due to the carbon trap in the air intake tubing from the air filter box.

What a great video you guys! Thanks for showing off your new Mustang. I love the colour you got, I would choose the same one for my car. The exhaust is incredible as well.

I remember the very first car I ever bought with cash was a 2013 mustang GT…32k….oh how times have changed. That’s a crazy price hike for 10 years difference
