Well done Ford. Raise the price at a time when the industry is going into its worst times.

34k for a base midsize truck is insane. I found pictures from 2019 where there were XLT 2wds for 26.9. There were 2wd F150s with 12-15k discounts on sale for 32-35k

Not a chance in hell I'd be buying the Ranger with these price increases. They were right in the video. People will prioritize budget now because of the economy, and they simply won't buy any truck because all prices are insane now.

Amazing how we throw around $50k+ for a midsized pickup. However equipped. $40k is my limit I guess. I’m getting old. Good vid. Thank you.

For 34k (or any vehicle over 30k in general), Cruise Control should be included. But One of the reasons the Ridgeline sells is because of its driveability, comfort, ***Space***, and MPG.

I agree with Roman about the Ridgeline’s resurgence. Hoping Honda will refresh (or overhaul) it like they did the Pilot.

Cruise control should not be an option! It’s like buying a TV and the remote is extra😳

As a 2020 ranger owner all I can say is Barf. 2024 Colorado and Tacoma look bad ass, and Ford is making it look like it is from early 2000s. Or at least the one in thumbnail looks like something from 2002.

I bought my Ridgeline last year and really enjoy it. It fits in my garage next to my wife’s Odyssey with some room to spare. I wanted a bigger truck but then realized that I don’t do “Big Truck” things. I was able to get 30.4mpg on a trip to Denver (pic to back it up). Of course this included having on all of the nannies and doing the speed limit.

I think that the destination price is ridiculous just another way dealers screw us over

My first brand new vehicle was a 2002 Ford Ranger XLT super cab 2WD with manual transmission and the 3.0L V6. It had crank windows and no cruise control. I paid $16k for it in 2002.

Ive had three tacomas, I do mountain biking and used it to haul things i wouldnt want to put inside a car. I switched to a ridgeline for a better rid e quality, quieter cabin and smoother ride with better gas mileage. I really like the tail gate duality and the interior space is far better lifting the back seats up. It was also cheaper than a off road version of tacoma. They are made in America as well and very easy to maintain. As long as your not hauling 5k lbs its perfect.

Crazy how the industry price gouged us during covid and they are still thinking a price increase is valid. I know I recently purchased a truck and went to a lot of dealers and they all said the market has dropped. I got mine at invoice, but Ford prices are insane, not sure who is buying an XLT for 55k at this point. Also it is important, GM dealers are selling below MSRP, like I said I got mine at invoice which was 4k below, but no Ford dealers locally will sell below MSRP. You may say, because they are selling, nope all the Ford dealers to this day are still calling me begging me to come back and they all said their inventory is not moving.

Chevy/ gmc killed it with the styling on the Colorado and canyon. I wish you could get the 3L duramax tho 😩

The Frontier offers king & crew cab which both offer 5ft & 6ft beds. When is it that nissan offers more customization then Ford or GM?

I totally get it! A 10% increase in price to match the 10% raise everyone

I love my 21 Ridgeline. The ride is outstanding. It'll tow 5K. The bed versatility is unmatched. Roomy, too.

I think the automotive industry was the shining example of why we have inflation like this. Corporate greed. Their billions in profits aren't enough. They need even more.

So a 2wd ranger is almost the same starting price as a Bronco, which has 4wd standard, but doesn't have a 6ft bed available, meaning I'd have to invest in a roof rack to be able to secure my longer gear? I might as well get the Bronco with a rack and use that.

Thanks for doing this video. It saved me a bunch of time wondering if the new Ranger was going to take on Toyota in the sales race. As these manufactures raise these prices, they just reduce the buyer pool for their new products. There is a point where the building less units at a high price, with great profit margins is not going to make the company profitable in the long run. Henry Ford assembly line made the model T affordable so people can buy them. Some body is going to do something that with EV's with new battery technology around the corner and the legacy manufactures will be out of business.

High prices for all vehicles, work from home jobs, and high auto insurance rates will force families back to being one car families.
