Once every blue moon you stumble upon a book that break your heart when it’s ends, because you don’t want to leave these characters that you got to love so much. To me, when I was a kid it was the Hobbit, LotR and never ending story that did that. When you get older it rarely happens… to me honestly only the King Killer Chronicle and partially GoT and LastLaw could do that. The Kings of the Wyld now is the latest member in that illustrious Company of groundbreaking great books. If your born in the 70s or early 80s and like fantasy, that book will most likely hit home very hard for you. Increadible Masterpiece.

I love how polarizing this book is. I see some who go crazy about how good it is, others think its overrated or genuinely dislike it. For a large part its how the humor hits you. Personally i love it even tho i don't feel like the book nailed the ending.
I did DNF the sequel tho. BUT there's no way im not gonna give the long anticipated third book a try, just cuz how much i enjoyes this one. I actually belly laughed reading this books, which is really rare that I laugh while reading. This one book made me laugh out loud more than all other books I've read combined (unless you count comics like far side, which im not)

I love your channel and you've helped me find some really excellent books. I tried to like this book. I just found it hard to get through. Not that it was complex. It just didn't hold me. Ended up being the first book on your channel that is DNF for me.
Just my personal opinion. Keep up the good work.

I am glad to hear this as I just bought this last week. Gonna have to get to this soon. Since you loved this I’d recommend the Blacktongue Thief. Eames recently said on Mikes channel it was one of his favorite reads and has a similar tone to his book. On a side note I’m reading the Forgetting Moon and you were right, it’s so darn good!

I am about 1/3 through, and i am loving it. I don't get the "rock n roll" vibe that you did as i have no interest in 70's rock, so the eater eggs probably went over my head. But Oh my gosh do i love this story and these characters!!!! Top 10 ever read so far.

I agree it was a delightful read! I also love reading older characters past their prime like Druss in Legend. The Coward by Stephen Aryan is another one I want to try on this vein

Petrik convinced me to read this one, too! It was a fun, funny, sentimental surprise. The second one is also fun though not quite as good. I’m really looking forward to another.
