Before i get too excited about these scales. Something to consider is the location of the stop pin being so close to the edge of the liner. And the fact that all the pins would be sitting in aluminum. I think that civivi factored in longevity when they set the pins in stainess steel. The super lock engages a notch in the blade but gets all of its strength from being wedged between 2 pins. If over time any play starts to form in those pins as well as the pivot pin it woukd completely compromise the entire knife. He sent those stainless shims for the bearings because the aluminum is soft and the bearings will quickly wear grooves into the scales which would reqire you to keep tightening the pivot until the scales start to hit the blade. There is a very good reason civivi didnt set the blade and pins into aluminum

I got the black cerikote diknurl with the holes a month or 2 ago. One of my favorite knives. Makes the vision fg, which is a phenomenal knife, so much better. So glad to see you show his work.

liner-less scales I got for my vision fg several months ago and completely changed the knife for the better!! the knife out of box was way to heavy as well as thicker than it should have been. The liner less scales really make it perfect.

Honestly, my We Knife Co. Vision R could easily be a one and done. If I really had to nitpick, I could find a few small design tweaks to make it perfect, but it’s overall such a good knife. Easy to use, sharpen, maintain, comfortable in the hand, and it looks like something from the future. I’m following SNECX’s work closely to see what he comes up with next!

I actually own a set of these scales, and i absolutely love my knife wayyyy more than before!! I picked up the blacked out with Saigaha pattern, and it's beautiful! Thanks for sharing, MC! Absolute feather weight!!
