The bugout battle is an absolute must.

Bro, that Orange $9.97 Ozark trail has better movement than half my Benchmades. Seriously a great deal and and not scared to lose it

25:40 not to mention, lots of regular people buy their knives at Walmart, now we'll see less people with trash in their pockets and more better stuff like civivi

If you are new to sharpening the super cheap clearance Walmart knives are great for practice and then you can just give them away to people once you get a decent edge on them

I just got the Orange and black $10 Ozark Trail knife last week because of all the hype it's been getting and IT IS A GREAT KNIFE for the price. I can compare it to come of my $35 knives and it does very well. One reviewer cut cardboard for 7 hrs straight on a live feed and it still sliced paper afterward.

Honestly just go all out on the bugout killer episode. Benchmade has so much competition in that size range right now and it’d be awesome to see a real comparison.

Man, sometimes knife YouTubers are so out of touch. Approx 95% of dudes have a Walmart/gas station knife in their pocket, and they use it

My son gave me the Civivi Mini Praxis for fathers day last year. Been impressed with it. Bought a second one that stays in my tools box at work and is used constantly for cutting hoses, opening cardboard boxes (mechanic work in general).
The other is my regular EDC.
I also have the Oregon trail blue aluminum stocked piece you showed. It is a pretty tough piece and is used pretty hard daily.
Glad to see decent quality knives available at a reasonably price.

As long as these companies can maintain their QC, I
think this will be a great thing for this new generation getting into EDC. For the 18 year old kid working a minimum wage job, the glass counter at Walmart might be the only glimpse into this space that he sees. I always say my first ‘big boy’ knife was a Kershaw Blur that I got from a North Carolina Walmart.

The green micarta fixed blade looks really cool honestly. SwissTech has some pretty impressive stuff apparently

The Ozark Trail Dropout ran 7+ hours cutting cardboard on Kinves, I guess?'s channel. That's real D2.

Let's see the Ozark Trail against the Bugout or any knife in the same catagory

The Haltbar is my favorite of all of these. I held it in the store and bought it immediately. I love it when a tool feels like it belongs in my hands.

I LITERALLY bought that $9.97 D2 Carbon Steel pocket knife today. Got the last one in stock within a 100 mile radius. Test that bad boy. I REALLY want it to be a good addition to my EDC and backpacking kit.

I have to say the best value on the table is definitely that 7 1/2 inch Ozark trail. I picked one up and took it camping for several days. And damn! Aside from the plastic scales, this is a great little knife. And honestly, the scales are very comfortable. You should really test it out before you pass any judgment

Couple things here:
1) yes compare bugout
2) i would like to try the haltbar, but for $15 less I would probly pick the one you dud after for $35.
3) I own gerber, buck and kershaw I bought at walmart in the early 90's. Still use them today. I dont think I have ever sharpened my gerber w/guthook. Ive skinned a handful of deer believe it or not with the Leek.
4) times are different for me today and I have been able to purchase more expensive knives, that I dont think are really any better than what I mentioned above. I do have a bugout that I bought with a gift cert from work. Its really sweet, but I wouldnt pay $171 for it, out of my pocket.
Keep up the great content. I really found value in two of the BPS knives, the Adventurer and a smaller skinner type.

I got the swisstech Wardig on a whim getting my honda oddesy serviced, (its 20 years old and I'm a single dude lol) I looked up the knife quick on YouTube and bought it, loved it immediately, I lost it and went back to my coldsteel tilite, but bought another one promptly, love the rough micarda handel, and that red accent with it, I absolutely love it, its my EDC blade now.

Swiss Tech Leicht looks sweet. Reminds me of the Izula, but with a more modern design. I love small fixed blades for EDC.
