Using the Text Tool in Krita

How to use the basic options in the Krita Text Tool

3:14 You can increase and decrease the size of the text with the handles, once the select tool is active i.e. 'the arrow' you then need to click the tab which sys "Tool Options" (it's probably around the colour selector on the right) you will then see various options - tick the one that says " Scale Styles" you will then be able to resize just as with other selections...

Thank you for the really helpful tutorial. Currently I’m using krita as an optional tool for a project in one of my college courses and I definitely needed this lol. I’m kinda using this as an opportunity to force myself to knuckle down and actually learn the program better since I’ve been kinda lazy about it.

Having to use a separate window for Text editing is a pain in the ass, what were the krita devs thinking when implementing this???

krita is the shittiest platform to use for anything typography.

Thanks for the tutorial. This is a terrible program compared to Photoshop. The way it handles text is just plain stupid. I actually came here because I couldn't believe it worked this way but yep, it does. I don't know why developers can't just admit when a big company like Adobe does something right, and then just copy the idea and make it cheap or free. It's not illegal to copy a basic concept like that, but instead, the nerds always feel like they have to try and one-up Goliath, and that's why all these free or cheap programs are so useless. Very disappointed with Krita overall.
