1:47 A very important scene for me - The Soldier took off his helmet, abandoned his post, went to the cell alone and gave his condolences to Loki himself. i adored this guy, even knowing that Loki was a danger he showed him all the respect he deserved for the loss of his mother
that show of empathy broke Loki here, Loki didn't just continued reading, pretending he didn't hear anything, the guard took him by surprise, Loki looked at him, listened to him and nodded with gratitude, not everyone can achieve something like that from Loki.

Loki doesn’t show it, but he does love his mother and he never got the chance to be in the funeral. She was his teacher to show him how to use magic.

After all those years this scene is still a masterpiece

1:19 Heimdal’s sadness always gets me. I wonder if he could see her enter Valhala, or see her spirit leave this realm confirming shes truly gone

Loki just wanted his father's approval and his mother's love and respect. His search for power and purpose drove him to do things that were against the norm. Ultimately, he lost his entire family in an attempt to find his purpose, which he finally found was to sacrifice himself for others, like the true hero he always wanted to be.

Into Eternity is one of the best songs/themes that Marvel has ever did in my opinion .

This scene makes me believe asgardians are truly gods and Odin just didn’t want to tell Thor that bc they are the only species we see literally become one with the sky when they die

Loki largely blamed himself for Frigga's death as he inadvertently gave Kurse directions straight to her from the dungeons, although he was hoping the Dark Elf would find and kill Thor.

Kinda sad that Loki wasn’t there at his mother’s funeral, but at least they had enough curtesy to tell him what had happened.

This scene hits way harder now knowing that this will be merely the first of many losses for Thor to come. First Frigga, then Odin, then Volstagg, Fandral, and Hogan, then all of Asgard, then Heimdall and Loki along with half the Asgardians, and now Jane Foster. Thor just can't seem to catch a break.

Say what you want about the Thor films. Scenes like this make me love all of them up to this day as among my favourite movies of all time

Mannnn the first two Thor movies nailed the Asgard scenes so good, something which the later movies fail to do. Lowkey makes me wish Asgard wasn’t destroyed in Ragnarok.

At least Thor was able to see her again in Avengers: Endgame and Loki saw his alternate timeline and how his mom got killed through his decision.
