How to fix GNS3 VM Greyed out , GNS3 VM not getting green
Показать описание
This video tutorial shows you how to fix GNS3 VM is Not Starting or GNS3 VM not getting green.
The following steps have been working almost all the time with respect to the title above.
FIX
==========================================================
1. Make sure you have followed all the protocols to install GNS3 GUI and GNS3 VM.
2. Fix issues with your antivirus and firewall that will usually prevent GNS3 GUI and the VM from playing out well.
When the GNS3 VM indicator in the GUI is not green or is greyed out after starting the GNS GUI and a call is made to the VMware workstation to start the VM do the following;
3. Close GNS3 GUI. This will shut down the GNS3 VM and close VMware workstation pro too.
4. Open Network and Sharing Centre and click on Change adapter settings. This will open Network Connections to your computer.
5. Look out for the 2 VMware Network Adapter (In my case VMnet1 and VMnet8) and disable both of them and enable them again
6. After successfully doing the steps above start the GNS3 GUI and wait for it to start the VM and the indicator now becomes green
No more need for multiple restarts and restoring the Virtual Network Editor to its default
I hope this helps most of you.
