microKORG Sound Editor (Windows) Walk-Through - Transfer patches between your computer and synth.

Sound editor cannot se at all my synth, I have plugged the cables correctly, all the settings on the synth are correct.. I cannot find any library after installing the software, not in download, not even in the program files...please, help!

Thanks for doing this, I'm just about to buy a microkorg and getting your patches is the 1st thing I'm gonna do. One question: if I transfer your whole patches all at once, I'm guessing the original vocoder patches will be overwritten as well, right? Are there any vocoding patches in your set?

To solve: "ERROR: Can't receive Midi message from the Device"
(copy/paste from 'Denisvm' on korgforums)

As they say in the manual you have to turn the write-protection off and enable Midi system exclusive messages (SHIFT + 8, turn 1st parameter knob 'cutoff' to OFF, then SHIFT to confirm) but also turn off the internal clock of the microkorg.
To do this :
- turn edit select 2 on Midi
- turn knob 3 and put in on EXT
- then push Write twice

i have chinese midi to usb cable (adapter or converter) with PC he works fine and DAW, but with Microkorg SoundEditor he don't work just spaming Error can't see midi device. idk what to do, i read more manuals looks more videos, no one decide don't help. i think need buy M-Audio midisport 2x2 usb but idk it's will be working or no?
