Yeah I used to think I was a late bloomer in behind like everyone, now understanding I don't give into what everyone else does or wants. Call it stubborn or some have said I'm hard nosed, but it keeps me on my feet.

Your 20 min rule and process to develop your newsletter is Agile Project Management methodology in practice. Iterative, continuous improvement and time boxing (firm timeframes) are key elements of Agile. 🙂

The 1% of rich people think of how to invest their money to increase their wealth during the recession. While 99% of struggling hard-luck people think of how to survive without food and daily necessities in the recession and the coming hyperinflation

Good points and info, but there are a couple of issues I see.

Regarding learning as you go -- that's great advice for private projects you're waiting to release until they're done. But I'd argue that for something public-facing, like a newsletter or YouTube channel, it could backfire since you only get to make a first impression once. If you're showing people your beta 1.0 work, will they necessarily stick around/come back to see the smoother, better final form? There's a lot to be said for making every iteration of something better than the last...but if you do that, you'll have a bad reputation to shake from your earliest work.

Regarding the 80/20 rule and focusing in on only the most productive and profitable activities...again good advice broadly, but the reality is that a lot of non-productive, unprofitable activities probably go toward supporting the activities that end up being most successful. For example boring admin work and checking emails isn't going to pay the bills...but it does support the framework, structure, and relationships that in turn get you to those successful activities.

Loved the video. Point: you spelled arbitrage wrong in the video. Things like that just pop out at me.

Thing is, you need more time to learn new skills and people who are doing it tough don’t have the luxury to delegate etc because they have to work longer hours. Agree with what you say for people who are in a better situation

Brilliant as always! The 20 minute rule is great, I started my blog the same way.. it's definitely a work in progress but I jumped in the deep end. Working online/remotely is my next adventure. Keep up the incredible content

Delegation definitely helped me be more productive, effective, and successful as a manager. Now that I am employee I back to where I started. Do you have any suggestions on how to go from employee to a leadership position or opportunities?

The living abroad thing can be good, but be careful. It can cause problems in the long term. It's typically great if you're single and childless, but there's a reason why the cost of living is so low in some countries, and you tend to find out once you've got a family. I know plenty of people who struggled to afford to move back to their home country when they'd spent years living abroad. I can also make financial planning tricky, because financial products (like pensions) are often based on residency, meaning that expats have to rely on dodgy, unregulated international products.

And don't get too comfortable with these remote jobs either. As someone once said, if your job can be done from home it can be done from Bangalore. And sure, that's a good reason to work for yourself instead, but when working for yourself, it can help to be based in a place where you have face-to-face access to lots of clients. It's not a coincidence that even in the age of remote working, most companies still set up in very expensive cities.
