Fascinating stuff! It would be interesting to dive into the revenue side of the equation. I wonder how often the $100 spent really generates the 25k+ incremental streams needed to cover the cost (maybe less if you consider the value of a gained follower). My sense is that the vast majority of small artists never make a meaningful return on the money spent producing and marketing music (which is fine as long as they aren't financially dependent on it since producing is net net a wonderful joy).

Why does it take SongTrust a year to start collecting owed money after being paid 100$ ?

Any free or faster options on collecting on micro syncing?
