Analysis: Will the mass protests in Israel make a difference?

Phyllis Bennis, a fellow at the Institute for Policy Studies and adviser to Jewish Voice for Peace, characterised the mass protests in Israel and upcoming strike action as significant. She noted that this is the largest protest movement since the latest assaults on Gaza began on October 7, with around 500,000 participants. Bennis highlighted the planned strikes in crucial sectors like health, tech, and manufacturing, including the shutdown of the international airport. She believes these actions could significantly impact the government, though it's uncertain if they will alter Netanyahu's stance.

Netanyahu has always said; "You can't negotiate with terrorists, " and he's right, you can't negotiate with Netanyahu!

It's fascinating to watch as societies that are rotten from within gradually disintegrate. There's absolutely nothing that can stop this process of decay. Winter is quickly approaching.

Correct analysis. And yes the military and security apparatus is supporting the deal. But he doesn't listen to them. Last thing I heard on Israeli media, yesterday, Netanyahu wants to "exploit" the strike to try and fire his defense minister Galant- he dared to question, oppose Netanyahu's decisions.
