Official Render Discussion 7 October 2022 Giga Texas Construction Update (07:45AM)
Показать описание
Gigafactory Texas on 7 October 2022! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!
Happy Friday! Thank you for watching today’s video and I hope you have an excellent weekend! But before that, check out the video with incredibly vivid oranges, reds and yellows in this morning’s sunrise! I was able to get a full-factory length shot with the sunrise from the west side of the highway looking to the east! What a view!
In the video intro, we discuss the “Cyber Berm” lights and compare to the official Tesla rendering of Giga Texas to show what we may expect to see over the coming weeks and months as more finishing construction work progresses to improve the overall architectural elements of the main site, and point out some differences from what we can see at the actual site, possibly indicating a number of plan changes since this rendering was revealed in April this year.

Here are some of the highlights from today's video:
Starting off at the south end, we once again see many Model Y’s exiting the factory and being temporarily staged on the (former) transport pickup location while they wait to be moved to the new east side staging and transport lot.
Also on the south end, the concrete demolition work continues and is expanding on the west and now south sides of the concrete lot, while on the east side, a large section of concrete has been saw cut in preparation of demolition and concrete removal work. In addition, south of the pond, we see much of the steel parts have been relocated to the new staging location just southeast of the stamping machine structure.
Also southeast of the stamping machine structure, we see some big changes at the horizontal drill site, with a large excavation now made in the center and what appears to be a bend in the larges pipe pulled under the river. This may indicate a different route for the pipes than just to the north along the east side of the main factory. We also see a large trench box nearby, which is used to help prevent trench collapse and improve safety for the workers.
On the Body-in-White (BIW) roof, we see some big progress at the opened section with six HVAC ducts now installed on the frame mounted on the exposed beams. We also see a small protruding short wall section that will likely frame the opening and allow for a raised transition to the rest of the roof.
At the east Warehouse on Wheels (WOW) Yard, we see yet another new graded section covered with gravel mix to expand the overall size. It appears the WOW fence in this area is being prepared for expanding to enclose this section in the rest of the overall Yard.
At the battery cathode plant, we see a frenzy of activity, particularly with interior wall, HVAC and pipe installation, exterior concrete walls, ground slab and deep foundation rebar and concrete construction and a newly poured rectangular concrete slab on the north end of the east staging section.
North of the battery cathode plant, more earthwork and grade improvement continues, while a new fenced off double section has been added, possibly for protection of some equipment or specialized materials. We also see workshop, trailers and steel component staging for the firs time in this area.
Big progress at the electrical substation construction site, with vertical steel assembly, footing, deep bore drilling and material deliveries onto the main graded section. The steel control room/building now has all walls and most of the interior rooms constructed, and soon the roof will be installed, closing off the building.
On the north end of the building, the paint shop was very busy with new deliveries of plastic wrapped metal components. We get some peeks inside through open cargo bays on top of the temporary platforms. Also, on the ground floor, through an open cargo doorway, we see a Model Y body on a red platform.
