MASTERING: Finalize your music with this FREE PATCH!

Made in FL Studio with Patcher (only stock plugins)!

I see a lot of excitement about mastering, but at the same time I see a lot of confusion. What is "MASTERING"? The only right way to put it is: "mastering is the process that makes a song ready for the market". Since the loudness-war is a thing, mastering is always associated with loudness/limiting/saturation and a lot of people start stressing about it. But mastering is not a combination of effects, it's a goal: getting your song ready for the music industry. If your track just needs a little boost in volume to sound like a record, that's mastering. If your track needs to be brighter, more stereo, more dynamic, or more squashed, that's mastering.
My patch is an all-in-one tool that follows more or less my mastering chain. You can find a FabFilter Pro-MB in the majority of my masters, and my Multiband Compressor is inspired by that. You'll also find an EQ with wide bands, inspired by the Sontec 432 Mastering EQ (my favorite kind of EQ). A Mastering De-Esser just like the Ozone Spectral Shaper (really underestimated effect!) is there to take care of harshness, but not only that! Parallel saturation has become one of my favorite techniques and you'll be amazed by the one I put in this patch. I do that with a lot of different plugins but one of my favorites is called True Iron (it feels analog!). An EQ for the Side information is always welcome during mastering and a LowPass filter and a HighPass filter can be crucial. A Clipper with a gentle shape and a Hard Limiter finish the chain I set up. I hope you'll have fun with my patch!

Amazing job! Patcher is very powerfull tool which makes FL Studio unique but to get 100% from it we need peoples like you. To be honest only small percentage of FL Studio users have capability to do that, its not simple to create a chain of depended plugins to get specific result.

I know I'm a bit late, but I'm very, VERY new to music producing, and am trying to go straight into some House and Trance music that is pretty heavy duty with the amount of instruments and sounds. I had a nice arrangement, but the instruments were clashing and creating frequencies or something that were unpleasant to the ear. After days of messing with individual sliders and automations to try and make things works together, I gave up and looked for something I thought I'd have to buy. This was free, and did everything I needed and more. Seriously, thank you man.
