Optimus Prime uses the Matrix of Leadership to revive Sentinel Prime who wakes up lost and disoriented asking about the pillars capable of creating a bridge between their worlds.

What’s the movie Transformers: Dark of the Moon about?
Optimus Prime, the Autobots and Sam Witwicky (Shia Labeouf) are back in the third movie of the famous franchise from director Michael Bay : Transformers.
Two years after the Egypt incident, the Autobots and their human allies discover a piece of Cybertronian technology which is part of an Autobot spacecraft that crashed on the moon. After bringing back the body of Sentinel Prime and reviving it, they learn that with this new discovery come new threats for the Earth and humankind.
They will have to start once more a war with the Decepticons to prevent them from trying to enslave humanity and bring all Cybertron on Earth.

Sentinel somehow kept his act after being resurrected. He made a deal with Megatron before blasting off Cybertron.

My question is, why does sentinel have truck parts if he was found on the moon?

Why wasn't he in his protoform?

And for those that are gonna say " he scanned a truck on earth and went back to the moon" his truck form is way too modern (for that time) and he can't fly

Fun Fact: Sentinel Prime wasn't the first Transformers role Leonard Nemoy did.

I have a theory that was that sentinel made the deal with megatron but when he saw optimus he hoped that they won the war somehow and were looking for him until he saw otherwise. He didnt want to do what he did but he thought he needed to do that bc it was necessary, thats why we get to see sentinel actually admire the world and have one last pescful conversation with his friend (Optimis) before betraying the autobots
