Ok on a rewatch I absolutely love how the monster basically *tells* her what to do, while acting like her thoughts. Stops her from calling 911, stops her from checking behind her, straight up gaslights her into thinking shes insane. Amazing!

I was at first rolling my eyes at the corniness of the third-person dialogue, but that twist in the end brought a shocking new perspective on the dialogue completely. Simple, but brilliant! Great work on this :D

At first I thought the short would have been better without the dialogue, because it’s kind of unnecessary and breaks the rule of “show don’t tell” but at the end when we find out it’s the monster it’s a really cool plot twist and a really creative idea for a horror villain.

Look I get that you are “the Spongebob guy” now but don’t let that distract you from your true passion. Use the theories to get that cash to fund more of these bro.

I’m not a horror person. In fact, I’m one of your Spongebob theory fans, but I would never want you to feel like you have to push your passion to the side just because your Spongebob videos get more views. You’re clearly a very talented film maker. I’m very impressed with your level of skill. Keep it up, and don’t let anything anyone says stop you from making what you want to make.

At first I thought “Alex is a better writer than this, the thinking dialogue is sounds very scripted and unnatural.” Blew my mind at the end! You never cease to amaze me

her just staring at the fridge hoping for food is so relatable

That must be terrifying, a creature that can mimic your voice and make it sound like what it’s saying is in your head. The possibility’s are endless with a monster like that

This is honestly amazing. I’m glad your spongebob theories lead me to this. You are not the spongebob guy, you are an artist man. You are skilled at many things and it goes just beyond film and theories. You just keep being you and let the masses keep trying to figure you out. However there are millions like me who are observant and can obviously see a true artist for their talent. Many of us gets ignored for what we do until we die.... it’s the curse of creativity. You must bear that curse and create till you can’t create no more. Keep doing your content, no matter what it is. You have the ability to reach out to MULTIPLE demographics with your talent man. I love what I’ve seen so far, and I can honestly say I’m a fan. As a man who favors horror, I’m in tears because you made something that ACTUALLY SCARED me which is rare. I hate how horror content just make me laugh because of the corniness. What makes something scary, is being able to understand how scary it is without critique on how you’d do it better. The concept once grasped is truly scary, it is terrifying to have such an entity do such a thing. To Mimic who you are and confuse you to the point that you disassociate with your own identity. That takes being tricked by a friend further... now you gotta imagine being tricked by yourself... good god. Anyways I’m done with my long speal... your amazing man!! Please know there are fans like myself that NEEEDS more content like this!! Use your theories as HOOKS for your REAL content fam. You’re a genius that CANT be held down!!

As I watched the entire video, I thought, yeah it’s gonna be a classic monster coming out cliche…

Until I saw the ending. It made me realize that this entire time, she wasn’t talking to herself in her mind, but someone was talking with her voice. That’s scary, shocking, and horrifying at the same.

Excellent work, Alex.

Alex uses the uncertainty of whether or not there will be a jumpscare perfectly.

“What was that”
The thing every Horror protagonist says as the murderer they know has a chainsaw and is very loudly approaching

Wow. Chilling. I've seen other people commenting the same--the dialogue didn't feel like it _fit_ with the short at first, but the twist at the end was *perfect* . I got chills, genuine chills. This was my first time watching a horror short of Alex's so I didn't know what to expect, but wow, this really delivered. Keep up the great work Alex!

can y’all stop getting angry at alex for making something different that is his passion and what he was doing in the first place before all the spongebob stuff? he’s gonna do what he wants, not what you want.

This is Beautiful! Not only is the pacing good for a short film. It also feels authentic, like how an actual human would react. And the eyes of the monster. They dont look like terrible photoshopped creepypasta stuff, nor wax or plastic masks!
12/10. I would love to see more things like this instead of goofy “spongebob theories”. Rock on!

The voice then gently proceeds to point out what snack she could make with the items of the fridge.
