MIUI 14 in Action: 7 New Features!

Xiaomi recently revealed the MIUI 14 update and we installed the MIUI 14 beta on our Xiaomi 12 Pro and in this video, we show you the new MIUI 14 features in action.

We installed the MIUI 14 Global ROM because that will resemble the MIUI 14 India ROM and its features.

Disabling power menu in lock screen is definitely a handy feature for security reasons, mainly theft reason, all os should have it .

They need to bring back the MIUI 8/9 notification panel. It was GORGEOUS.
It used to change the colour and animations up there according to the weather conditions. Brilliant it was!

The reason most custom roms didn't have full support for Material You in Android 12 was because Google didn't release the API for it by then. I think Samsung was the only one that created their own theming system (probably the reason why we see slight colour difference between Samsung apps and Google apps accent colours), while others were waiting for Google to release it. Although it is available now, it's sad to see that they still don't support it.

As a MIUI user, I am actually quite excited for the new update. I can see MIUI is implementing more customization options and features. They are also making tweaks to the UI to make it look more modern. I really look forward to the update, and thanks for the video :D

I was using the MIUI 13 EU version on my POCO X3 pro a lot of the features you talked about here was in that. Great UI it appears wonder how stable is it going to make the apps feel like.

All well and good if they bring this update to India early enough. Even miui 13 was more or less stable in my experience but the greatest issue so far was the delivery of the updates. Imo, last two years has been the slowest years in terms of xiaomi updates.

Weren't these features on MIUIEu and Chinese miui for ages? I'm using a modded miui 13.0.8 for Mi9 and most of these features exist already.

Performance improvement is a myth
With each os update it takes extra storage in system and others section
It makes crazy slower than before
Miui 12 was so much faster than 13, not gonna lie

The besttt feature of all is the no access to power menu when device is locked 😭
It wasn't there earlier and that's how my phone was stolen

The main issue with MIUI Global Stable since the last couple of years is the move to Google Contacts and Google Messaging... The apps are no where as user friendly and intuitive as the native Mi apps and also bugs and have sync issues. To make matters worse, there is no response to app feedback.

Being able to copy text from images is very useful. I hope to see this in OnePlus.
