Amazing! Time to retire my old cap molds

Update: I tried them. They really are the best molds you can make.
it's super easy to clean up the dice and inclusions are easy to make.
10/10 would recommend

also... you and this video deserve so much more appreciation, thanks!

HOW DOES THIS NOT HAVE MORE VIEWS THAN ANY OTHER MOLD VIDEO

Great tutorial! Definitely love the idea of this style of mold. I have been having problems with raised faces a lot and this seems to be the solution to my problem. Going to try this out when my new set of Dragon Skin 20 comes in!

Just a thought, if you used a jig to hold your d20 mold at a slight angle during the resin cast, you could keep the 20 face straight upright with the inclusions.

I always had the hardest time putting the clay on the faces, I'll have to find some clay more like yours.
Great tutorial!!

This is really good i'm definitely taking some of your ideas into consideration for my next set of molds.

Oh, also, if you want models for the part you make with clay, i could totally make those in blender, ive got no problem sharing them with everyone.

This mold system looks fantastic! i was thinking can't you modify it to exchange the cups for short pvc tubes? you can then measure the base to the diameter of the tube, mold all the clay in the open and later on slide the tube. Should make your life easier when working with the clay part.
I'll definitely try this molds. Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to attempt to make a slab version of this by designing one long acrylic mold case with the indent and 4 internal keys, still using clay for the faces since it seems to have the least cleanup on the mold later compared to glue dots, etc. And modify the sprues a bit so they overlap the dice less like the Kingsfell system... I'll update back later!

A darker background with light colour objects should make the camera focus a bit better

This is genius. This is the model I'm trying next.
Let me be not shy and ask. Does swiping the faces of the die make a difference? How different it turns out if you don't?
I'm having trouble with my molds and casts, but I'm not sure what is causing it yet, maybe it's that.

Such a lovely tutorial! Do you know if these would work (bubble free mainly) if I don’t use a pressure pot? I’m new to resin and can’t invest in one quite yet

Cool idea for the mold! i definetly going to try that. Did you try Gloves while handling the dice so you dont have to wipe fringerprints away as much?

Just a heads up for anyone using this method
Don't use air dry clay. Causes cure inhibition. It learned the hard way 😭

How do you reuse silicone? I've never heard anyone talk about that before.

Approximately how long do your molds last? Do they deteriorate quickly?
