I leaning more towards mis because of the facts that it's balanced in bussness and science side which I prefer it seems more flexible

I'm trying to go coast guard for IT or cyber Security so I have the experience when if i get out or go reserve and deciding on what I want i like business and tech i was always the one fixing and hacking which as I'm older is coding and programming when I was younger i like The MIS with minor finance i think that best for me thanks for the video !!!!

Thanks for the video!
Coding is so difficult in MIS 😵
But I still prefer MIS as I hate Accounting 😂

MIS > Finanace because it’s more specialized.

I disagree with the main sentiment of this video about Finance.

Finance is neither “sciency” nor more “sciency” than MIS at all. If anything, MIS is exponentially more “sciency” than Finance because of its CS component.

Finance has a lot of math. But its not hard math. Its just the same college algebra that accounting and MIS use. It’s nothing crazy at all. Literally the exact same level math these other two majors have. (ACC and MIS)

Other than that, great channel.

PS: I was an MIS double major.

My major is a tech degree but don’t have any business classes so I’m tailoring to get a general business minor to supplement.

I'm having a tough time picking between MIS and Finance. I'm interested in investing, personal finance, and handling money, but I'm not sure what career I'd want to pursue with a Finance degree. I don't have a lot of interest in technology, but I feel that an MIS major could provide me with many opportunities. And since I don't know what area I'd like to work in, MIS may be a better fit. I know both majors are good options, but I'm not sure what's the best choice for me.

My advisors at school aren't much help, so maybe you give me some advice :)

Have you had the opportunity to take a look at USF’s Business analytics and information systems degree? And what are your thoughts on it?

I think when someone major in finance, he can then work in accounting and business analytics field with taking some courses in Payton and sql, on the other hand if he major in mis its not easy to switch to accounting or finance because it’s required more than just an extra course, and not anyone gonna trust you with their money. What do you think?

I’m having trouble choosing between mis and finance. I am more interested into the business side than I am on the tech side I am not very interested in tech, although I would still like to study tech due to the growth rate and evolution of technology. I’m just not sure if mis will give me the amount of business skills that I want. MIS is great because of the flexibility it has. I also heard that finance has very long and brutal working hours which I would prefer relatively normal working hours.

i need help. my passion is sports management, so that’s gonna be one major. i wanna double major but im between finance or mis, idk which one

Should I choose financing or accounting to be more proficient and specific in working with papersheets and money. Or should I choose MIS because it gives me both finance and technology? The problem is that I am afraid that It could give not enough knowledge towards both occupations beacause you take too much different courses. Is that true?

I leave a comment on every video of yours I watch hahaha. But how many minors are overkill? The plan was finance with a construction management minor. Now I have to decide between Fin/ MIS minor or MIS/Fin minor....But I still want to do construction management. Not really a tech person but I value adaptability plus Ive never really tried tech, to say I don't like it, so there's that. If the goal is to work in finance in the real estate sector, what would you do?

Hey, im deciding whether i should apply to this major, but im so confused, is there a lot of differences between “information technology management “ and “management information systems”?
I want to apply to a bachelor’s degree and I didn’t find the MIS bachelor’s i only found ITM and a masters degree of MIS.
Please help me with that case
Thank u

Does the MIS field will decrease due to AI? Such as data science and data analysis, i think AI can do most of the work there

Im between those 2 majors, i study mis and i wanna go to finance and work in a bank, but I don’t have connections in the field, and they told me the good opportunities are few. my GPA is good but not the best, should i continue in mis and take other certifications in finance or switch to finance?

Is dual enrollment in Information Management and Technology and Finance a good combination?

Do you think finance jobs will be not all of course, but a fair amount be automated since artifial intelligence is getting better at accounting and forecasting things for companies? Like Chatgpt for example

Also, do you this MIS is good for working in start-ups?
