I'm still listening but wanted to comment on the idea of someone from Silicone Valley being an arbitrator or mederater over free speech. The problem with that is that they may not share the same worldview or values of the content they are supposedly policing. They may not even hold to absolute truth, and yet they get to decide what is accepted speech or content. They are not neutral in this at all, so thats why Elon Musk is making such a big deal as free speech.
Also, on a different note, i noticed that during this election season, there were hardly any political signs in yards that were endorcing Trump, but I noticed plenty of yard signs endorcing Kamala, but the area where I live overwhelmingly suported Trump. So my question is why no yard sighns promoting the candidate they were voting for? I believe we all know the answer to that, and that's why the nation made selected their president.

People are not voting on policy… they’re voting via feelings. That’s why “what’s a tariff?” and “how do I change my vote?” were trending searches AFTER the election. Tariffs and mass deportations WILL raise prices, especially food prices, across the board astronomically. If done too quickly, poverty will skyrocket to a staggering degree. Our farmers will feel it the most. A lot of people do not truly understand the impending catastrophe heading into 2025 and beyond. But it’s too late. The people have spoken. Buckle up folks! The next decade will be one for the books. May God help us all

I live in Silicon Valley. Of course, it is very blue. But you will be surprised how many Trump supporters there are. They make it a point to Not speak too loudly about it. They don't want to trigger people, who can get nasty.

On the other hand, a lot of people on NextDoor are very upset with the amount of crime we are experiencing. The left showed up and tried to tell people they were imagining things, and that crime is down, and were condescending and insulting. We're not having any of this behavior, and there was a lot of push back. Those lefties don't show up anymore.

I completely agree about the need for a 3rd party that might help keep elections from being so devisive as long as the 3rd party doesn't tip the scale in just giving one of the existing 2 party's a victory every time. It needs to actually be winable.

Silicon Valley is filled with non Californians. They do not represent the avg Northern Californian. I wouldn't worry to much about them. They are here for a couple years and then they move on.
