Unused Sonic Cd's Final Boss battle : sprite animation

If to be serious, I would love to see Final Fever as it was intended to be: a boss fight where you would have to travel through time to damage it.

For those wondering: -
Final Fever was supposed to be the "True" final boss after you had collected all of the Time Stones in the 2011 remastered version of Sonic CD. It was supposed to have warped you from the Egg Spinner "final" boss into a distorted time warp where Robotnik/Eggman reveals the R9 "Final Fever" Robo and it was to be virtually invincible with no way for Sonic to defeat it. The only way Sonic was able to defeat it was to go to warp speed to "wind back the clock" and destroy parts of it when it was at it's most vulnerable when it was being built.

This was supposed to have been put in the "R2" spot and some cut elements were used in Sonic Mania for Titanic Monarch Zone and Egg Reverie Zone.

Got to admit, I do like that you took enough care to make it seem like Sonic had actual game physics and the boss having actual patterns.

So, this actually looks great! It all looks like it could be played on a Sega CD, except that the screen looks like it is pulled back a bit too far. Great work.

I don't know why but the actual final boss of the game just feels underwhelming like in the past the sonic 2 boss was much more dramatic and the ending to sonic 3 and knuckles in the doomsday zone.
