In-service, we all tried to do our best depending on what the customer wants.

Sometimes they’ll see it as an up sale or that we’re trying to charge them .

However, that’s not the case the toilet is not working properly in this video then you will have back up .

The toilet was not in bad shape and that’s why that technician did not recommend replacing the toilet .

I use a 3 or 4 in screws in the flow restricter till it catches and pull the screws out

Great job on doing your job the fill valve is part of the flushing of the toilet. And unfortunately supplies are one and done nowadays happy to see used the supply with the metal nut plum on brother

i worked at a 70 room tourist hotel, in six years i used a toilet auger only once...A plunger used properly always did the trick..

I bought a toilet auger a few years back after repeated clogs and overflows. Best money I ever spent.

I flush 30-40 sheets of TP three times in a row. Then a couple flushes after to make sure it all goes through. Just to verify there's nothing stuck in the toilet after augering. I don't like callbacks for clogs because something stupid is stuck inside

There are some things that I always replace when I do a repair for people, because the replacement parts are cheap and just assure that it's working properly again.

I just put in a brand new Kohler fill valve and it takes forever to fill. Several minutes. I'm too lazy to change it back out though. It still works it just takes a while 🤷🏼🤣

On the job that's the smartest thing you could do, you need a solution and you need it 8n time.
I think i would be great if the possibly fixable item just went to a tinkerer so he could mess around with it, maybe make something different out of it instead of dumping it into giant landfills, tho.

If that toilet was in your own home, for the supply line, wouldn't just replacing the O-rings/gasket be all thats needed? B/c isn't that where the failure point usually is?

I prefer a wad of several paper towels to better increase the clog likeliness while there.

U couldve popped the top off fill valve like if u were to adjust it and just blow it out that way too

Not too many clogged toilets come with crystal clear water in them, and you should change your name to “The Plumbers Closet Auger” plunger is always your first choice it won’t ever scratch the toilet.
