Drake is what, 2 or 3 years younger than daniels? Daniels has more years in college by far with a team in the SEC, of course Daniels is going to be starting at 24. Let Maye be for a little longer, the Pats line is still figuring it out and the coaches are all getting their first passes in preparation and game calling against some tough opponents. Not to mention that the college season is 13 vs 17 games, so let him learn for another month and then think about Maye playing against Miami at home rather than traveling to Cincinnati for the opener

Drake Maye will start when the coaches think that he's ready to start. It might be Week 1, Week 5, Week 9, Week13, or maybe Week1 of 2025

Patrick Mahomes is not the only quarterback who was sat for a year... Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, etc. all sat a year! Peyton Manning, one of my favorite quarterbacks, had a terrible rookie season. If a rookie today had the season that Peyton had it would set them back soooo bad. Sitting a quarterback in their rookie season is the best play especially if you have a terrible offensive line. Keep him safe, develop him, and then get that return on investment next season.

Stick with Jacoby. Make sure the o-line is at least functional. See how the team looks and track Mayes process. Reassess week 5.

I love Drake Maye. I've been on the Maye train for two years now, and was hoping our tank would get us the No.1 so we could draft him. Fortunately, we ended up landing him at No.3. The issue is that starting him in week 1 would give him no chance at success because of the OL. The Patriots have one of the worst, if not the worst, OL in football. Last season, they couldn't stop anybody.

I can't understand why the FO didn't sign a single veteran LT because they team has nothing on that side. Any QB behind that OL going to get eaten alive. Let it be Jacoby, and if the OL turns out to be close to below average, then start Drake.

If I were Mayo, I’d have Jacoby Brissett start Week 1. If Maye wants to be a “top-notch” QB. He needs to learn by watching.

Of course QB1 is up for grabs. They've always said it will be a competition. Don't act so surprised. I'd love to see Maye start but it's probably best to wait a bit longer so he doesn't turn into Mac

Have some stability in NE before starting Maye. Sitting him this year would be best while Jerod Mayo has a year under belt as head coach. There’s too many missing pieces to put him in.

They should sit Maye for at least a couple weeks and I’m fine with them putting him out there week 8 and on, or if they want to keep him bench the entire season
