The thing about saint patrick driving out the snakes is that he drove paganism out of ireland, and the pagans at the time worshiped a serpent called crom,
So snakes could be a euphemism for pagans.

I'm a better shot than James Bond! - I have this claim on the assurance of the armourer at Jullietstown Hotel who, after witnessing my shooting clay-pigeons and comparing my results to that of Pierce Brosnan, who had stayed at the hotel the week before, and reckoned I was the better shot !
